DCDogMoms is run by friends Charlotte and Heather who met--not coincidentally--through their dogs! They also receive lots of support (and many photo appearances) from their fellow dog mom friends and their pups, the very inspiration for this community! For any questions on partnerships or events, please contact us at dcdogmoms@gmail.com.
While everything we do at DCDogMoms is a team effort, from getting to know all the pups and their owners around DC to thinking of fun new events so we can connect dog lovers around DC, to seeking out great dog friendly places and activities around the area that we can share with our followers, we’ve also found a way to apply our strengths to what we do here:
Charlotte, Co-Founder
Charlotte spends most of her free time photographing Penny, her 4 year-old rescue adopted from Washington Animal Rescue League (now Humane Rescue Alliance), which makes her role as Creative Director for DCDogMoms the perfect fit. While she doesn’t get to tap into her creative side too often as the Director of Finance of Threespot Media, a digital creative agency in Chinatown, the creativity of her colleagues must be rubbing off on her. She has an eye for beautiful shots, an ear for clever captions, and a talent for getting dogs to behave in front of the camera. Read Charlotte and Penny's feature.
Heather, Co-Founder
Heather spends most of her time catering to Daisy, her senior French bulldog rescue adopted from Rural Dog Rescue in 2015. She serves as DCDogMoms Director of Communications in her spare time. Heather writes most of DCDogMoms’ blogs and pretty much any post caption or comment that includes song lyrics or bad jokes. From researching the latest dog ownership laws in DC to how to travel around the city with your pup if you don’t have a car, Heather has you covered with her helpful and informative blog posts.
