Amanda’s favorite thing about Maddie and Eddie: Their friendship. They’ve been best friends for more than seven years now and are inseparable. They have very different personalities but are such a complement to one another. I could watch them interact for hours…except that they’re almost always sleeping.

Maddie and Eddie’s favorite thing about Amanda: “I’ll take this one, Ed. Our mom spoils us. Anything we want, we get. How many dog beds can you fit in 447 square feet? Trick question, because literally anything in our home is a dog bed if we want it to be. My favorite spot is a freshly-laundered load of dark clothes. Squeal! Yeah…it’s good to be us.”

A perfect DC day: As Maddie and Eddie's dad (my husband, Kyle) can attest, my day doesn't truly begin until I'm properly caffeinated, so we'd start our day off with a walk to @lacolombecoffee. Coffee in hand, we'd walk to Meridian Hill Park, where we'd people-watch while having a picnic brunch. After brunch, we'd go digging for some new vinyl @redonionrecords (yes, they're dog-friendly!). We'd need to recharge with an afternoon nap, and then we'd wrap up our day with dinner at Columbia Island Marina/Island Time and a sunset kayak on the Potomac.
