Yessi and Wick

We have a special pre-birthday #DogMomMonday for you today! @Wicklovesfetch turns ONE on September 20—get to know birthday boy Wicket and his mama Yessi below! 

Yesenia aka Yessi, dog mom to Wicket aka Wick (named after the ewok warrior and Chief of Bright Tree Village on the forest moon of Endor—yeah, we’re big-time nerds!), a 1-year-old (on Wednesday!) maltese welcomed in 2016 from California since Yessi had been wanting a fur baby for so long.

Yessi’s favorite thing about Wicket: My favorite thing about Wick is how much he loves to play fetch. It’s 24/7 non-stop fetch! And also how we love the same fruits; he’s my snacking buddy. I love how he follows me everywhere I go and just want to snuggle. He’s truly a mama’s boy. I can’t imagine my life without him—he is truly the best friend a girl could ask for.

Wicket’s favorite thing about Yessi: “My favorite thing about my mama is that she shares her snacks with me. I love when she makes me homemade cookies and cupcakes. I love that my mama takes me everywhere she can with her. I just love to spend time with her...and playing with her socks. I have a serious sock obsession.

A Perfect DC Day: Our perfect day would consist of morning cuddles and a fetch sesh. Then we would head to our favorite dog-friendly spots. We love walking around @citycenterdc and stopping at @centrolinadc—we just love spending time outdoors! Then, on our way home, we would stop at @petcounleashed for some new treats and toys.
